  1. 'Only 10% of blind people are able to read braille'

'Addresses the connection between braille and standard letter forms. Using touch as a communication tool'.

This thesis blog is quite interesting. It doesn't really show that much on her actually process as the content focuses on her objectives. It poses questions that involves all the senses.

As typography and words are a communication tool, it presents the idea that we receive information through all the senses. Reading, in essence should not be restricted to sight and sound, but extend itself to touch, taste and smell (although, I'm not too sure how you would engage in the last two senses - lollies?).

If we understand typography with the definition as 'referring to the art and technique of designing letterforms... broadly to the practice of graphic design where a variety of typefaces are employed to enhance communication.' It is not only about legibility of seeing the words, but it is also about legibility in understanding the concepts behind those words... EMPLOYED TO ENHANCE COMMUNICATION.
