Neue Mode Magazine


Im always into a good fashion/culture magazine. Not just for the editorial sake, but also because its layout etc. Here's one of my new fav, Neue Mode Magazine

The designer who did the art direction, Oliver Daxenbichler should be notice as well.

  1. The sites great. It has some really interesting layouts.

    For me successful typography and layout is not just about legibility, but creating a sense of space. Even though a page (arguably) is a flat surface and reads as a 2D object it still needs to have that sense of dimensions. Like with any physical environment that space creates an atmosphere through placement, emphasis, colour and image.

    So I think that the fashion/culture magazine you put up is a great example of that. You look at it and you know that you're looking at a fashion magazine.

  2. lately I noticed that many fashion/cultures has the same way on how they layout text, photos and how they play around with typography. Not saying that they all copied each other or like that, each has different feels and personalities.

    Im not talking about mainstream fashion magazines such as YEN, Frankie, VOGUE etc. But more those independent/bi-monthly ones like Another Magazine, Man About Town, 10 Magazine etc. It's quite interesting.
